Julia Maclaurin – Office Administrator/Executive Assistant, from our Victorian Office, has been with MRS since 2020.
Q. What is your favourite part of your job?
A. The people. Working with great people is motivating, inspiring and fun. The Melbourne team is growing and I am fortunate to work within a team who are all driven to produce great results.
Q. Where is your favourite destination you’ve visited and why?
A. Chamonix, France. We spent 6 weeks snowboarding on the various mountains including one of the highest peaks, Aiguille du Midi, which was both terrifying and exhilarating.
Q. What do most people get wrong about business?
A. Getting the right people on the bus. As noted by Jim Collins in his book ‘Good to Great’ – “First who, then what”.
Q. What is your proudest achievement outside of your career.
A. My children. Parenting is my greatest challenge, especially in the world we live in today, but when I see my children express empathy, show resilience and be kind to others, I feel a sense of achievement.
Q. What was the first concert you attended?
A. Michael Jackson in 1996, amazing.
