Cher-Mei Chong – Team Leader – Client Accounting, joined MRS in 2024 and is based at our headquarters in Adelaide.
Q: What do you find are the most enjoyable aspects of your role?
The opportunity to continuously learn and develop new skills. Being relatively new in my current role, I encounter new challenges every day which I view as valuable opportunities for growth and improvement. I’m also incredibly grateful to work alongside a supportive and collaborative team. Their guidance and encouragement have made a big difference in my journey so far.
Q: Where is your favourite destination and why?
I have a few but one of them is South Island, New Zealand. During our two week road trip, we had countless unforgettable experiences, including horseback riding through iconic locations where scenes from The Lord of the Rings were filmed, as well as taking a thrilling helicopter flight & walk on Fox Glacier. I was captivated by the stunning scenery and the unique character of each town/city that we stopped by. It truly was an adventure of a lifetime.

Respect – listen actively, value diverse perspectives and behave in ways that promote harmony and mutual trust.
Q. What was the last book you read?
Good to Great by Jim Collins. Last year our MRS Book Club had the opportunity to dive into this book and I truly enjoyed the experience. In addition to the book’s profound lessons, the discussions we had within our team added an extra layer of understanding. The conversations allowed us to not only reflect on the concepts but also explore how they could be applied to our own professional and personal growth.

Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realise they were the big things.
