Sharon Campbell – Facilities Manager, joined MRS Property in 2012 and is based at our headquarters in Adelaide.
Q: Tell us what your role entails?
As a Facilities Manager my role is to keep all the balls in the air when it comes to the operational and compliance requirements for the buildings, to ensure the reliability and safety of the building equipment and environment for the tenants and visitors occupying the building, and the asset protection for the owners. My role involves the prevention and rectification of all issues that arise daily and lifecycle planning for the future, maintaining good relationships with contractors and tenants is imperative.
Q: What do you find the most enjoyable aspect of your role?
The responsibility of contributing to the presentation and operation of the asset – ownership and commitment to the building.
Q. Who inspired you to pursue the career you have today? How so?
I have been in Facilities for a long time with my previous role at Westfield Marion for almost 10 years, I was recommended for the role by my dear friend Julie O’Malley who is now retired which I will always be grateful for.
Q: Where is your favourite destination and why?
Anywhere there is no phone reception! Anywhere away in the caravan preferably by the ocean.
