MRS Day 2019

MRS Day is a yearly tradition planned by a mystery staff member, making it a complete surprise to all other team members.  This began in June 2007 to celebrate the five-year business anniversary of ‘McIntyre Robertson Scarborough’, with a trip to Sydney to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge.  The day is a fantastic opportunity for our team members to consolidate their collaborative team skills, as well as collectively celebrating another successful year in business.

This year’s MRS Day, themed “Uniqueness” and was arranged by stalwart employee, Julie O’Malley.

The Theme ‘Uniqueness’ beautifully fits into two of our company key core values so recognising the uniqueness of each and every one of us, individually and as a team, created a day of fun with other inspiring and unique people, experiences and locations.

The day began in the early hours of the morning, commencing at Hilton Adelaide  where Corporate/Sporting Elite Behaviour Specialist, Roger Rasheed presented to our team.  Roger gave us insight into his natural understanding of how sport and business can move hand in hand, instilling that the real edge in the corporate environment lies in the heads and hearts of the people in the business through elite behaviour, mental strength and team work.  After his presentation, Roger gave us an interactive demonstration on the tennis court and showed our team how ‘eliteness’ could be achieved in more ways than one!

The next stop was Scoffed Cooking School in St Morris for some healthy competition in an “MKR” type cook-off!  Our teams battled it out over two courses, to be judged by each other and the Scoffed team. All teams were able to turn out some great Asian Street Food, with winners being Anna’s Orange Team with their own rendition of Chicken Satays.

We then ventured up to The Lane Vineyard in the Adelaide Hills, where we each blended and created our own unique bottle of red wine complete with personalised labels, followed by wine and platters overlooking the beautiful scenery from the Vineyard’s terrace.

Finally, we finished the day in Hahndorf for a superb dinner at The Haus followed by drinks at The Hahndorf Inn into the wee hours.   We then retired to our accommodation in Hahndorf at The Manna.

Many thanks again to our fantastic supporting partners for the day:
