Christmas in Property Management – MRS Style

Christmas is a great time of year.  We’re approaching the end of the physical year and halfway through the financial year.  It’s a time of year when the focus shifts toward the Festive Season and we’re drawn towards spending time with friends and family.

For the Property Management Department we pride ourselves in providing a balance between continuing to provide a first class service to our clients whilst being conscious of the needs of our staff, for us both elements are taken personally.  Property doesn’t stop due to Christmas. Rent still requires payment and distribution, leases still require administering, maintenance matters still need attending to and loyal staff deserve a break.

At the halfway point of the year, our staff can often benefit from a break, so that they can refresh and return in the New Year ready to go again.  We encourage our staff to take a break and even provide an extra day’s leave for each year of service (to be taken at Xmas) to ensure that they have ample opportunity to relax.

In order to make sure that we have all bases covered we ensure the following:

  • Leave is carefully shared between staff so that we always have appropriate cover for all disciplines including Property Management, Facilities Management and Trust Accounting.
  • Our 24 hour help desk is made aware of staff leave so that covering staff are contacted as appropriate.
  • Timing of necessary payments are carefully considered in advance and staffed appropriately to ensure continuity of payments to clients.
  • All necessary amendments to building control systems are fully considered in advance to take into account any tenant closures.

We wish everyone associated with MRS Property a wonderful and safe Christmas and New Year and we look forward to continuing the relationship in 2020.
