After completing his Higher National Diploma in Building Technology, Peter commenced a Bachelor of Science with Honours (part time) in Building Surveying and Technology. During the five year degree course Peter worked as a Building Surveyor in the Private Sector undertaking diverse duties including Building Condition Audits, Commercial Pre-Acquisition Inspections, Defect Diagnosis and remedial works, Assessment and Coordination of Planned Maintenance Programs for a variety of Clients including Government and Institutions.
On successful completion of his BSc (Hons), Liverpool John Moores University, in partnership with Capita Symonds, offered Peter a secondment to a Public Private Joint Venture to assist the Property Team in Capital Works Projects and Leasing Matters.
The second element of this role was to continue in Academia on a PHD program. The research topic was the ‘Development of an Innovative Business Model for JVs’. Lease matters were also addressed whilst acting for both Lessors and Tenants in Dilapidations Disputes (Make Good), as well as providing assessments of liability at lease end for clients such as Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs.
Since arriving in Australia in 2013, Peter has worked for several companies including Bing Boy, SAPOL and Cushman and Wakefield and has acted for numerous institutional, corporate and government clients in the areas of Leasing, Project Management and Contract Administration. Key tasks include site identification, lease negotiation, ‘make good’ assessments, management of consultants in relation to design, fit out, refurbishments and churn projects.
In 2017, Peter was appointed as Senior Consultant – Project Management and Advisory Services at MRS Property and acts for a broad range of clients in project management, development management and provides a wide range of consultancy advice. Key projects include the Brighton Shopping Centre redevelopment and the proposed new North East Specialist Centre at Windsor Gardens.
