Hunt & Hunt Lawyers (formerly Ward & Partners) had practised from their offices in 26 Flinders Street since 1985 and decided in early 2011 that a renewal of their dated fitout and a move to more modern accommodation would be of benefit to the firm.
MRS Property were engaged to assist the firm to identify options and negotiate commercial lease terms on their behalf.
Numerous options, including remaining in 26 Flinders Street with a new fitout, were considered however the firm was being “drawn” in a southerly CBD direction.
400 King William Street, which offered the firm the ability to accommodate themselves over a single floor, was initially seen as being “too far away”, however Managing Partner, Brenton James, recognised the benefits of the opportunity and carefully overcame the negative perceptions of the location.
The result has been outstanding with the “Toole Bar” (named after Partner John Toole) offering the best views of the Adelaide CBD and a Boardroom dining outlook as good as any in the city.
